USAID Assisting PA to Remove Hebrew Road Signs

The USAID organization is assisting the PA in removing road signs and replacing them with Hebrew-free signs, in English and Arabic in areas throughout Yehuda and Shomron. The four-year project enjoys a $20 million budget, a move seen a preparing the infrastructure for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Interestingly, road signs in Green Line Israel are in three languages, Hebrew, Arabic and English.

  1. Is that the actual NAME of an organization (USAID) or is this a reference to aid from the U.S.? Can we be informed about this so we can protest this sick and disgusting use of American money!?! It would be front page news in the world media if Israel decided to make all of the signs in Israel arabic-free (which they SHOULD!!!)

  2. I have sent the following message (online at their website) to USAID… “Is it true, as I have read, that USAID is paying a huge amount of money to have Hebrew signs removed in areas of Samaria and Judea, to be replaced with arabic-only signs? If so, this is a disgrace that American money is being spent this way. This is clearly a politically motivated act, and should NOT be the province of USAID to be involved with. These areas are the very heart of the Land of Israel, and road signs should most definitely be in Hebrew. What would USAID and the world media have to say if, on the road signs in Tel Aviv, the arabic was removed?!? As an American I am appalled at this waste of American money being used to insult our only true ally in the middle east.” — I would urge others to send them a similar message.

  3. I’m not sure why this is a headline or story. We should be less worried about sign removal and more worried about supporting terrorism.
