Senior PA (Palestinian Authority) negotiator Dr. Saeb Erekat rejected the accuracy of media reports that the PA is willing to back down from demand pertaining to the recommendations of the Goldstone report in order to continue advancing the diplomatic process with Israel.

Responding to reports that the PA plans to withdraw its issues with the UN’s human rights organization, Erekat explained the PA is only an observer on the council, adding the Council of Islamic Nations plans to continue pressing on the UN to adopt the findings of the Goldstone Commission which accuses Israel of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu earlier in the week explained that taking the findings of the commission to the International Court of Justice in The Hague against Israel will result in a breakdown in diplomatic regional peace efforts.
