26 Jordanian athletes planning to cross into Eilat to take part in a marathon were detained due to some type of bureaucratic matter. Israel Foreign Ministry officials were notified and it appears the ministry intervened towards resolving the issue and thereby avoiding any unpleasant diplomatic incident with Jordan.
