More Shul Vandalism – This Time in Romeima

mishtara11.jpgYWN earlier in the week reported on a vandal attack against a Petach Tikvah shul, this past shabbos, and now, another such attack has occurred, this time in the Romeima neighborhood of the capital.

The Otzar Yerushalayim Chader affiliated with the Siach Sod organization for special children has become the latest target, with tefillin thrown on the ground, furniture and other property damaged, and graffiti painted on walls.

Workers arrived at 7:30pm to find the door broken and what appeared to be bloodstains in the area. Rav Gaz explained that when he entered the room he was really horrified to see the tashmishei kodesh (holy/religious objects) thrown about, as well as the paroches (curtain) of the aaron kodesh torn off and thrown to the ground.

Police were summoned and they instructed school officials to prevent students from entering the area to preserve the scene as they gathered evidence.
