In an embarrassing development, Defense Minister Ehud Barak stands accused of employing an illegal foreign national for three years. Neighbors, who spoke to the press, reported the Philippine woman was employed by Barak for three years.

As the news began breaking last week, statements were released by people close to Barak that the woman was only working as a domestic, part time, and not on a regular basis.

Barak officials refuse to release an official response to the report, which adds that in his previous home, during a time period when Barak was out of politics and a private businessman, he employed a different Philippine woman, also illegally.
