Teital Case Begins Unfolding in the Media

1111.jpgYediot Achronot reveals some of the details in the unfolding Teital trial, referring to the arrest and indictment of Shomron resident Yaakov Teital, a former American immigrant, who faces a multi-count indictment, including murder.

In Israel as a tourist, Teital rented a Fiat in 1997, on the same day he allegedly murdered an Arab man in the Southern Chevron Hills area by Sussia. The kilometer reading on the rented car registered 208 kilometers (125 miles), the same distance required to travel from the rental agency to Suissa. The prosecution emphasized that while he was scheduled to return to the United States two weeks following the murder, he redid his ticket to leave three days later.

Police statements also verify that when questioned in the murder, Teital’s alibi did not check out, and it was later learned that he lied.

The court extended Teital’s remand for an additional 19 days.

  1. I am not against killing Arabs, because one less Arab is always a good thing. What I don’t understand here is what he accomplished…? How does murdering Arabs bring the geula closer? Hashem just uses them as a stick because of our own misdeeds.
