ShuferSal Removes Tuna from Store Shelves

ShuferSal, the nation’s largest supermarket chain, has announced it is removing its own brand of tuna fish in oil and water from store shelves due to a manufacturing problem that has been detected.

Cans stamped with the production date January 17, 2010 and the expiration date January 14, 2014, are recalled and anyone who purchased such cans should return them to the place of purchase or any chain of the store will refund one’s purchase cost.

Anyone with questions may call the supermarket’s consumer hotline at 1-800-686-868.

The company points out that the recall does not affect ShuferSal cans of tuna manufactured by Williger LTD, only cans Tasiyat Philtuna LTD.
