Tourism Ministry Seeking to Assist Stranded Travelers

Due to the disruption to flights in Europe and Israel as a result of the volcanic eruption in Iceland, the Tourism Ministry’s information office in Ben-Gurion airport is handling calls from the thousands of tourists stranded in Israel.

The Tourist Information Office is helping tourists find hotels in the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem areas, in accordance with their requests and is providing information on the other services they require in Israel.

The mayors of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv answered the call of the Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov with an information booklet for those tourists stranded in Israel. This booklet, which will include information about services in the city, as well as places of entertainment and any events taking place at this time, will be distributed at hotels in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv by the relevant Hotels Association.
