A winter storm brought heavy rain and strong winds to parts of Israel, flooding roads and toppling trees. Emergency services rescued 14 people from vehicles trapped in floodwaters in the central region, and two girls were lightly injured when a tree fell at a school in Rishon Lezion. In Netanya, a 53-year-old man was found lifeless in his home with signs of suspected hypothermia.
