An IDF officer sustained light injuries after an armored vehicle was struck by an explosive device earlier today in Rafah, southern Gaza, the military said.

According to the IDF, the Namer armored personnel carrier was operating in Rafah’s Jenina neighborhood as part of efforts to dismantle Hamas infrastructure.

The injured officer, a member of the Golani Brigade, was evacuated to a hospital, and his family has been notified.
