Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has launched an effort to redraw the state�s congressional maps in hopes of securing additional Republican House seats.

DeSantis said he will convene a Special Session of the state Legislature focused on redistricting to ensure the maps reflect Florida�s population �fairly and constitutionally.�

The Special Session will take place after the regular legislative session, with lawmakers expected to focus on redistricting in April.
