NVIDIA, ELI LILLY LAUNCH $1B AI DRUG LAB

Nvidia and Eli Lilly said they will jointly invest $1 billion to create an AI-powered drug discovery lab in San Francisco, with the lab’s work set to begin early this year.

* The money will be spent over five years on infrastructure, computing and talent, with Nvidia engineers working alongside Lilly’s biology and medical experts to generate large-scale data and build AI models.

* Lilly said the project builds on its existing partnership with Nvidia, including an AI factory using Nvidia’s systems to speed up drug-discovery timelines.
