So Mayor Madmani has reminded citizens of New York that they cannot pay show shovelers without getting documentation . Thank you Mr. Mayor for your concern. If any New Yorker cannot get suitable documentation, that is proof of identity, clearly the best thing to do is notify ICE immediately so they can come over and assess the situation. It may be that when to tell the shoveler you are calling ICE, he, she or it will run off without waiting for payment. You will be doing nothing wrong as you will not have seen documentation, without which it is a Federal offence to pay the shoveler!
