Israeli and Lebanese Officials Hold First Open Talks in Over 30 Years in Washington

Israeli and Lebanese representatives met Tuesday in Washington for the first open diplomatic talks in more than 30 years, in a U.S.-brokered effort to explore a potential agreement.

The meeting took place at the U.S. State Department, bringing together Israel’s ambassador to the U.S., Yechiel Leiter, and Lebanon’s ambassador, Nada Hamadeh Moawad, alongside U.S. officials.
