Iranian media is pushing back on reports from Western outlets claiming the U.S. and Iran have already finalized a memorandum of understanding tied to a possible 60-day ceasefire extension.

Tasnim News, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team, said the text “has not been finalized yet” and stressed that Tehran has not officially confirmed any agreement through Pakistani mediation. The source added that if a deal is completed, Iran will formally announce it through the mediator and to the public.
