Italian Prosecutors Open Investigation Into Ben-Gvir Over Gaza Flotilla Incident Allegations

Italian prosecutors in Rome have reportedly opened an investigation into Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir in connection with the Gaza flotilla incident.

The probe focuses on comments Ben-Gvir allegedly made toward activists, including Italian citizens, who were photographed kneeling with their hands tied behind their backs at the Port of Ashdod in May. Prosecutors are also examining allegations related to the boarding and detention of flotilla activists, including possible offenses such as kidnapping and torture.
