Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, warned that Israel’s strike in Beirut has “exhausted patience” and claimed that “the order was issued” and that “zero hour has arrived.”

Velayati further threatened that if the conflict in Lebanon continues, the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb could be used to squeeze what he described as the West’s economic lifelines.
