Frank Carone, former chief of staff to ex-NYC Mayor Eric Adams, his brother, and two others were arrested Wednesday morning in a federal bribery case.

The indictment remains under seal, and the exact charges have not yet been released. FBI agents were also seen outside the Brooklyn home of former NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey, the department’s highest-ranking uniformed officer.

According to sources, investigators are examining, among other things, how promotions and assignments were handled within the NYPD.
