6:45PM (Monday): The Spring Valley Fire Department is on the scene of a working structure fire in a private home located at 21 Paiken Drive. There is heavy fire reported out the windows. Maple Ave is closed between Paikin & North Cole.

The Hillcrest and Monsey Fire Departments have been requested for mutual aid assistance.

Officials say two people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Fire officials say the fire does not appear suspicious, but they called the fire inspector to the scene.
