Town police on Monday arrested the son of town Councilwoman Brendel Logan in connection with the burglary of a Hillcrest grocery.
Officials said Krystafer Johnston, 23, of 19 Harmony Road, Spring Valley, was charged Monday with felony counts of burglary and criminal mischief.
The charges stem from a Sept. 9 burglary of the Bravo Supermarket, 289 N. Main St., Hillcrest, police said.
Police said Johnston left DNA evidence at the store. Rockland County Sheriff�s Bureau of Criminal Investigation Unit collected it. Johnston voluntarily submitted his DNA for testing and a match was made, by the New York State Police Lab, connecting his DNA to that found at the scene, police said.
