NYC: Rain, Sleet & Snow Possible Tues Night & Wed Morning


Per consult with the National Weather Service:

Hazard: Winter Mix Tuesday night and Wednesday morning

Synopsis: Rain will move into the area Tuesday night changing to rain/snow/sleet overnight, then changing back to rain Wednesday. Less than an inch of snow is expected.

Precipitation: Total liquid precipitation of less than a half an inch is expected; snowfall accumulation is expected to stay below one inch.

Timing: Rain will start after midnight and change over to a winter mix during the overnight hours. The wintery mix is expected to continue through the morning rush hour before changing back to rain.

Winds: Winds on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning are expected to be light.

Wednesday: 42/35
Thursday: 44/27
Friday: 37/29

Products: A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 0800 hours this (Monday) morning.
