NYC Man Pleads Guilty In Shooting Death Of Witness


chnA New York City man has pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a witness who had testified against him in a robbery case.

District Attorney Richard A. Brown says Shytique Kelly of Arverne, Queens, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on Monday.

The judge has indicated he’ll sentence Kelly to 25 years in prison.

A second defendant has pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution for driving Kelly to and from the crime scene.

Both will be sentenced on July 23.

The May 2012 street shooting claimed the life of 21-year-old Tysheen Coakley.
