The Secret Ingredient to Jewish Success

As we gather around the Seder this year, it’s time for us to reflect upon our national and personal transformation. Winston Churchill the Prime Minister of Great Britain once famously said “Some people like the Jews, and some do not.  But no thoughtful man can deny the fact that they are, beyond any question, the most formidable and the most remarkable race which has appeared in the world.”  What makes us remarkable? And can we distill the essence of those qualities so that we can properly transmit our mesorah to future generations?  One of the main reasons for the success of the Jewish people as a whole is our strong family values. We strive to lead by example and we have high expectations coupled with unconditional love. We encourage our children towards creativity, independence, and self-mastery, but we also provide guidelines in which they can flourish.  For example, when our children started to drive there were certain limits. First, they were only allowed to drive during the day, only on local roads and with no passengers. As time went on, the limits were lifted. However, we would never compromise on safety. We all agree that drunken driving, speeding or driving without a seatbelt will always be totally off limits.
There is a saying “information is power” and with today’s internet, everyone has the power to be educated, informed and be empowered. There is no doubt that the internet is a powerful tool, but at the same time, it can also be very damaging. The future success of our families depends on staying true to our values when accessing the internet. This is why our family invests a lot in educating our young generation about how to access the internet safely. But as much as I believe in education, we must also make sure that we have our “internet seatbelts” on. That is why we have installed internet filters on all of our phones and computers. Over the years I have tried out many different filters, and none of them really fit our needs and values. Last year while visiting my sister in Israel, she informed me about an Israeli company called Netspark. I was told that it has even been chosen as the official filter for schools by the Ministry of Education in Israel. Over 4,000 schools in Israel, both religious and none religious, have chosen to protect their students and staff with Netspark. After testing it myself I’ve discovered that with over 2 million customers worldwide, Netspark gets “it” and understands that a one size filter doesn’t work for everyone.
I contacted Netspark to find out some more and they told me that they are constantly improving the filter’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) in order to accommodate people from a wide range of backgrounds. “In addition to our three preset protection levels of light, moderate and strict we also have over 20 categories which enable our users to customize the filter to their needs.” said Yonatan, Product Manager at Netspark “This gives everyone a filter that’s custom made for them.” I have chosen to protect my family with Netspark. Be smart and do the same. For more information about how you can customize the filter to your needs, visit Netspark’s help center at support-en.netsparkmobile.com. Netspark is also offering you a special limited time offer which will give you your first month for free for both the smartphone and Windows apps. For more information check out landing.netsparkmobile.com .
