ROL: The recent sale of property at the former Pines Hotel in South Fallsburg comes at a time when Sullivan County, once home to hundreds of resorts, enters the summer season with only one hotel, Kutsher’s Country Club, just outside Monticello.

Two Hasidic groups are still vying to buy the Raleigh Hotel in South Fallsburg. According to sources, the front-runner remains a group affiliated with the Bobov sect based in Borough Park, Brooklyn.

Bobov runs a camp across the road from the hotel. The final purchase could be two or more months away, sources close to the negotiations say.
