The following is a statement by NYC Councilman Chaim Deutsch on this morning vicious assault and robbery of a Jewish man:

“In a conversation with NYPD officials today, I requested increased patrols in response to the vicious assault that took place early this morning. This unfortunate incident is a reminder that we must remain vigilant and alert at all times. I am optimistic that the dedicated detectives of the NYPD will identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible. I am grateful to the NYPD for their commitment to keeping us safe, as well as the volunteer auxiliary police officers, and Flatbush & Boro Park Shomrim for serving as the eyes and ears of the police department. The victim remains in my prayers for a speedy recovery.”
