  1. It’s not from Berlin, it’s to Newark, and it turned around because the landing gear did not properly close. It’s scheduled to attempt to land in 1 1/2 hours. They are trying to get the landing gear working before then.

  2. Just wondering – if it’s only supposed to arrive in another hour and a half don’t those 10s of ambulances have better things to do in the meantime..?

  3. If this flight was heading to NY then there must be loads of yidden on it returning from lag baomer in meron. Bizchus Hatana Elokai there should be no casualties and the landing should be safe and secure.

  4. all the israeli news channel are reporting that it was flight 027 on its way to Newark. Its on its way back to Ben Gurion emptying his fuel over the ocean. Lets hope they will have a safe landing. Daven, say tehillim.

  5. The reason all the emergency vehicles are there now its most likely in case they have to bring the plane in earlier than expected, with more fuel than they’d like. We should be davening for their safe landing, not criticizing. Hashem yishmor indeed.

  6. just stop and say tehillim! imagine your parents or yourself on that flight what would you be doing now?? youd be relieved that all the emergency personnel are there if needed unfortunately israel is very capable with dealing with emergencies!! besuros tovos!!

  7. when its about getting the detailed facts and on the minute yeshiva world gives cnn a knockout!

though id like to see a technical story behind the wheel, the flight, the passengers, and then the approach, the touchdown, the landing, the passengers, and finally the response.

this since mumbai yeshiva world has always been 2 classes above the others!

  8. I am shaking that we were just saved from a possible tragedy that could have shaken SO many in Klal yisrael!

I sat down to a learning seder right before prep for landing time and as soon as we finished the seder and closed the sefer I my phone started buzzing with text messages that the plane landed safely!!!!! Wow! I’m sure many others did the same and zchus Torah and Tefilla rocked the Heavens—-!!!

May we merit to continue to shake the Heavens and bring zchus on Klal Yisrael!!!!!! 🙂

    What nail bitting reporting
This makes CNN and Jimmy Olsen in the back seat!!
You should get the Pulika Prize for this – a feather in your cap!

  10. Perry White and Lois Lane from CNN are first now getting details in. AOL and compuserve are both quoting the Prodigy News Network. Great jobB

  11. B”H!
Thanks YW, you were the first and actually the only one to report while it happened, not waiting till it’s over and let the whole Klal Yisroel wait in terror to find out what’s going on.

  12. PULIKA Prize??? I think you mean Pullitzer. Interesting how it wasn’t on the radio this morning…to get my news I “turn on” YWN. Thanks for always keeping us informed of what REALLY matters: the welfare of Jews, especially in EY.

  13. Does anyone think to give a BIG Yasher Koach to the pilot, Co-pilot and the rest of the crew for the great job? Yes, I know they were shlichim from Ha-Shem but they also deserve credit for their skill!! So, YASHER KOACH, El-Al Crew!!!!!!!!!!!!
