This week, Kupat Ha’Ir released an exclusive interview [see bottom of article] regarding the details of a massive new operation: a campaign to marry off 46 orphans before Pesach. The video touches upon the fact that each individual orphan, hand-selected because of their dire need, has a unique & tragic story. Kupat Ha’Ir official statement was as follows:
“Finding one’s shidduch is as difficult as the splitting of the Red Sea (Sanhedrin 22a).”
Before Pesach comes, a miracle as mighty as krias yam suf will take place: 45 times.
45 special young men & women will join together with their bashert.
However these young people have undergone more suffering than most. They are impoverished orphans living in Israel, and they must rely on the kindness of strangers to get married.
That is why Rav Chaim Kanievsky & the dayanim of Kupat Ha’Ir have taken on a seemingly impossible task: To marry off 45 orphans before Pesach. For these men and women who live in fear of homelessness & starvation, miracles truly will come true this Nissan.

Do not take for granted the fact that this Pesach you will have hot food to eat, and a safe home to eat it in. That is more than many of these orphans can pray for.
