HATE: Swastikas Discovered At A Park In Waterbury, Connecticut [PHOTOS]


Police in Waterbury are investigating vandalism at Fulton Park.

Officials say swastikas painted in red were discovered at the park.

Sources say police are on the scene and the Parks Department is cleaning up the vandalism.

The Waterbury Police Department released a statement on the incident which reads, in part, “The incident is currently under investigation with no leads at this time.”

The Historic Overlook Community Club in the city released a statement condemning the act of vandalism. The club says it insults their members and all members of the Waterbury community.

The Historic Community also thanks the city’s parks department employees who are working to remove the vandlism.

Officials are asking that anyone with information as to who vandalized the park is urged to call the Waterbury Police Department at (203)-755-1234 or Community Relations at (203)-574-6962. They say reports can be made anonymously.
