Arrest in Connection with New Delhi Attack Against Israeli Mission

Local officials are reporting the arrest of Indian journalist Sayid Mohamed Kazmi in connection with last month’s attack  against the Israeli diplomatic mission in New Delhi. A bomb was attached to the underside of a vehicle driven by the wife of the Defense Ministry’s attaché to that country.

Local police searched the home of the 50-year-old suspect, indicating they found evidence linking him to the bombing attack.

Investigators in India report that the investigation is still ongoing. In Israel however, officials are pointing the finger of blame at Iran, indicating there is an Iranian connection with this attack as well as the bombs in Georgia and Bangkok, resulting in heightened security for Israeli diplomatic facilities around the world.
