Following a ruling by the High Court of Justice permitting the opening of grocery stores and supermarkets in Tel Aviv, MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Uri Maklev announced ten High Court decision will not cancel the Jewish Peoples observance of Shabbos!
Maklev condemned Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai for being an activist against Shabbos, explaining former Tel Aviv Mayor Meir Dizengoff realized the significance of Shabbos as a sign of solidarity for the Jewish People while he is working in earnest to trample Shabbos.
Maklev adds The High Court ruling delivers a blow to halacha, the Jewish character of the nation as well as the religious status quo which has been observed since the establishment of the state.
He concluded The High Court leaves no other option to legislators other than to legislate a law to bypass its ruling to preserve Shabbos as the ultimate value and we will fight for it.

working in earnest to trample Shabbos Whilst not a ????, yet I would highly recommend to both the T.A. Mayor as well as these judges, to keep a good eye to look over their shoulder to make sure ??? doesn’t trample them, as has happened to others in history.
Is imposing shemiras Shabbos really the way forward?
