Magen David Adom is planning to shut five small on-call stations located in small communities in Yehuda & Shomron and along the northern border this July. Officials explain the move is compelled by the fact the Ministry of Health has not released the funds required to keep the stations operational. Financial realities will also result in cutting back operating hours in other stations located elsewhere.

MDA officials stress the EMS organization will continue providing emergency medical care to residents of the affected areas as well as continuing to seek sources of funding in the hope of preventing the closure of any station.
