The IDF says it foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel from Egypt this morning using a drone. Troops located and downed the drone after it crossed the border, discovering it was carrying two assault rifles and ammunition. According to the military, there have been frequent attempts over the past year to smuggle weapons and drugs across the Egyptian border using drones.
