UPDATE: Police shot a man armed with a knife inside NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital after responding to a 911 call reporting a man with a knife in the emergency room around 5:40 p.m.
* Police say one officer first used a Taser, but it had no effect. A second officer then opened fire, striking the suspect.
* The suspect later died of his injuries. No officers were injured.
