DEAL ACCELERATION? U.S. And Iran Reportedly Weigh Early Signing Of Agreement

Axios’ reports that the U.S., Iran, and mediators are discussing moving up the formal signing of the agreement from Friday to as early as Wednesday.

• If signed earlier, provisions related to reopening the Strait of Hormuz could take effect sooner, and the U.S. could release the full text of the MOU.

• Sources said both sides support accelerating the timeline to reopen the Strait sooner, though no final decision had been made as of Wednesday morning.

• Even if the signing date changes, talks between Vice President Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf are still expected to take place in Switzerland on Friday.
