    It’s a difficult quandary.

But standing up for your basic precepts ought to mean more than money

These threads seems more like attempts to push off a dirge or an obituary for USA

In a few days will be July 4. Many still will go through motions of celebration. [ pumped up now more than ever, red, white and blue, by the media and all who, a half a generation ago, used to disdain the patriotic celebrations- but we digress]

But for tens of millions of goyim, in their heavy hearts they feel that the sun is setting

America was once ” the last, best hope on earth”

    Wistfully,it had a nice run

    Nevermore

Lest you claim as you will, this is a bit exaggerating

    here’s a Dare:

Walk into a foreign embassy, serve them a couple of drinks to loosen them

    Then just ask them

In a few days will be July 4. Of course, many will go the motions of celebrations. [ pumped up by the media and all who a half a generation used to disdain the patriotic celebrations- but we digress]

All the rationalizations are just more elaborate means of disguising a formal chap. 11 for our mission that we were given by our Maker some many centuries ago.

    He who created you, Knows

    .

Lord Jakubowitz once stated there were four philosophy based revolutions in

    in the past several centuries

    1.The British Puritan Civil War

    2.The american

    3. The french

    4.The russian

The first two were based on the bible ,and though there was bloodshed, brought greater human dignity and progress to mankind.

The latter two were based on secularism and and brought destruction and regress

Morality is at the pinnacle of the Legal system, and referred to in criminal Law, left ,right and center.

Often perversely by the same crowd.

End-of-life is persuasively turned into: it’s immoral to let someone suffer or doctors ( or anyone)should be entitled to end a life.

Paradoxically, capital punishment ought to be prohibited because:it’s immoral for us to end any life, even a serial murderer

Abortion and even for some post-birth:what makes this fetus or infant a human?

Paradoxically robots or chimpanzees, however, should be given some human rights

“Legal systems are not merely systems of rules but also systems of principles..In order to arrive at adequate legislation it is necessary to stratify these principles and rank them by employing moral judgement.”

    Second,Law

    in it’s essence all morality.

The Left, who are alot smarter than you, says it all the time

How else could the the government sin tax alchohol ,tobbaco, firearms, illegalize drugs, force you to wear a seatbelt in your car,etc.etc.

Goyim are inherently natural .In their insides ,they sense when when something is unnatural and wrong(although often get swept along with the need to be PC)

It is invariably those of jewish extraction who invent rationalizations.

Biden thanked the jews for causing this toppling of mores less than two years ago

    zahavasdad,

civil unions were all the same rights .

But these shrewd animals insisted on pushing for the word marriage,

No wonder ,the chofetz chaim said these jews [and their supportes are scions of amalek.

Great men are they who see that spiritual is stronger than any material force – that thoughts rule

    Ralph Waldo Emerson

There a drift in values , things that would be unthinkable become the norm. In a recent article in Canadian Medical Association Journal, Tom Koch discussed the Polio epidemic in the 1950s. He noted how everyone scrambled to save every life. Gymnasiums were turned into wards and cots were lined up from wall to wall. Steel lung machines were made and people were kept alive in these big negative pressure boxes. It was an imperative to save as many lives as possible. Nobody considered the costs or the quality of life of the people that were saved. He laments that in todays society the polio victims would be counseled against seeking treatment and most would die.

25 June 2014:UK Right to die appeal rejected

    Lord Neuberger announces Court’s decision

Judges ruled – by a majority of seven to two – against the appeal by Paul Lamb and Jane Nicklinson over the right to die.

A majority of the justices said that the question they were being asked involved moral judgements rather than points of law – and the matter had to be addressed by a democratically-elected Parliament.

Even this secular rationalization is inherently weak

The Declaration Of Indepedence was a document in that it appealed to Heaven for the right to rebel under the moral principles of the Creator

    Otherwise

1.what gives them the right to rebel ,but you lack such a right?

    2. what gave them the right to force the southern states to stay?

They referred constantly to the moral law based on the bible for their raison d’etre

Since it is all now about power, let cut through the pretenses and

    abolish so called Law

    Three Answers:

The word ‘marriage’ is semantics they already had all the benefits and ‘rights’

It was used for exclusively for traditional relationship for eons.

What did they need to have that word for?

If they so despise that word let them push to completely abolish the concept of marriage altogether for all!

It presupposes a sinister nefarious agenda that they spent billions of $ ,focused careers took over the western world all in order to ‘hijack’ and subvert a word!

Second,All societies from the beginning of human existence had a varied of personal styles

The Greeks, for example, were quite deviant. Many of them disliked marriage and disliked women.

YET, all of them ,every single society from the aztecs to the kalahari bushmen. From the Siberian tartars to polynesians

In every era every century , every clime -GREEKS Included-Have remarkably always understood till now that marraige could only mean between opposite genders

R’ Shmuel Berenbaum, had certain ideas about yeshivas and what a ben torah should be immersed in. R’ Shmuel said in a shmooze it’s bitul torah for a ben torah in yeshiva to be reading a newspaper “even one such as the yated”. R’ Moshe Tuvia Leiff, heard from R’ Shmuel, that if there would have been daf yomi in the days of the Yevanim, they would not have included it in the decree.

R’ Shmuel, further ,had a certain view of what should be learnt in a yeshiva. Some 35 years ago, a small group of talmidim and alumni formed a chaburah to learn the Rambam’s moreh nevuchim at night in the yeshiva’s ezras nashim. When R’ Shmuel found out about this, he told them they cannot do this in yeshiva and must learn this elsewhere. More recently, some 15 years ago, a fellow arrived in yeshiva and started a navi chaburah during night seder. Again when it came to R’ Shmuel’s attention, he briefly told him that it was not acceptable.

When Touro College wanted to open a branch near Mir Yeshiva, Reb Shmuel Berenbaum went down to Reb Moshe Feinstein z”l to try to prevent it from happening. Reb Moshe strongly concurred with Reb Shmuel that it was improper in the extreme to open up a college a block away from a Yeshiva Gedolah, and tried to do whatever he could to prevent it .

In the late 90’s the leaders of Pirchei tried to persuade R’ Shmuel Berenbaum to encourage bochurim to become pirchei leaders. All they could elicit out of R’ Shmuel was to get a mention in the weekly Friday Chumash shmooze. When the time came, all R’ Shmuel would say was that he didn’t see the point of a bochur taking off from his time to do pirchei. If the bochur were to learn mishnayos with the boys, good, but just to say stories and discuss the parsha a little, he didn’t feel was a worthwhile endeavour. Yet R’ Shmuel was aware that over the years many of his talmidim were involved in pirchei , and he never discouraged them

A more pressing query :Do the up and coming generation of Talmidei Chachomim appreciate the sacrifices the klal are making on their behalf & are they preparing to give back accordingly?

When R’ Yaakov Kamenetzky zt”l organized a knessia to encourage avreichim to go into chinuch, he chose to hold this gathering in the Mirrer Yeshiva. After R’ Yaakov finished his oration everyone waited for R’ Shmuel to speak knowing full well that R’ Shmuel encouraged his talmidim to stay in learning for countless years. What R’ Shmuel then said was powerfully intriguing. “When a person learns, he should not learn just for himself, he should learn for klal yisrael. If he is only able to stay in learning for a couple of years, he should learn with intention to give over to cheder age talmidim. If he is zoche to learn for several more years, he should keep in mind that he should be able to give over to mesivta level bochurim. And if he could learn even longer, he should prepare himself to be a rosh yeshiva. A person should always prepare to give over to the tzibbur .

Lady Thatcher, who died in April aged 87, has come under fire for her resistance to tougher penalties on the South Africa regime during the 1980s, and faced accusations it was a selfish move to protect Britain’s business interests.

But Mr de Klerk, who along with Nelson Mandela oversaw the transition to ANC rule, said Thatcher and then US president Ronald Reagan had “helped to buy essential time for South Africa”.

“It is a pity that the Conservative Party has subsequently apologised for Thatcher’s opposition to sanctions,” he added.

Writing in the Times, Mr de Klerk argues that the handing over of power to the African National Congress (ANC) in the 1980s would have resulted in fighting and “the imposition of a communist regime” by the party’s left wing.

“Margaret Thatcher understood this,” he wrote. “Although she was a consistent critic of apartheid, she had no illusions about the challenges that we faced.

“She doggedly resisted demands for more sanctions and always gave me and our negotiating partners strong support for the achievement of a genuine non-racial constitutional democracy,” he added.

“In all likelihood an ANC victory before the mid-1980s could have been achieved only after a devastating racial war and would not have resulted in a genuine constitutional democracy but in the imposition of a communist regime.”

    To be very brief:

Dr.Verwoerd was ,indeed, an pretty bad fellow, and

The great Smuts ,who they defeated ,was definitely more to my inclination.

The balance of Afrikaaners did treat the blacks with a Respect, though some dehumanized them. That was ignored by those who wished to destroy their Velt.

Like the French in Quebec, the Afrikaaners felt themselves surrounded.

The French practice linguistic Apartheid rather than racial.

    Does anyone complain?

But ,Because their basis is Secularist liberal,it’s Okay.

However, since the afrikaaners’ was of conservative religious,it would have to be branded with the ‘mark of Cain’.

Many jews as is their bent, populated the Marxist (Joe Slovo)and leftish Progressive(H.Suzman) Movements, which exacerbated the relations

Also, remember, they were the bulwark against the spread of communism and other evils for the whole of southern africa.

    “Churchill allied with Stalin”

    Try again.

He allied himself with the victims of nazi aggression

    This was his speech:

All this was no surprise to me. In fact I gave clear and precise warnings to Stalin of what was coming. I gave him warnings, as I have given warnings to others before. I can only hope that these warnings did not fall unheeded.

All we know at present is that the Russian people are defending their native soil and that their leaders have called upon them to resist to the utmost.

Hitler is a monster of wickedness, insatiable in his lust for blood and plunder. Not content with having all Europe under his heel or else terrorized into various forms of abject submission, he must now carry his work of butchery and desolation among the vast multitudes of Russia and of Asia. The terrible military machine which we and the rest of the civilized world so foolishly, so supinely, so insensately allowed the Nazi gangsters to build up year by year from almost nothing-this machine cannot stand idle, lest it rust or fall to pieces. It must be in continual motion, grinding up human lives and trampling down the homes and the rights of hundreds of millions of men.

Moreover, it must be fed not only with flesh but with oil. So now this bloodthirsty guttersnipe must launch his mechanized armies upon new fields of slaughter, pillage and devastation. Poor as are the Russian peasants, workmen and soldiers, he must steal from them their daily bread. He must devour their harvests. He must rob them of the oil which drives their ploughs and thus produce a famine without example in human history.

    ..

The Nazi regime is indistinguishable from the worst features of Communism. It is devoid of all theme and principle except appetite and racial domination. It excels in all forms of human wickedness, in the efficiency of its cruelty and ferocious aggression. Noone has been a more consistent opponent of Communism than I have for the last twenty-five years. I will unsay no words that I’ve spoken about it. But all this fades away before the spectacle which is now unfolding.

The past, with its crimes, its follies and its tragedies, flashes away. I see the Russian soldiers standing on the threshold of their native land, guarding the fields which their fathers have tilled from time immemorial. I see them guarding their homes; their mothers and wives pray, ah yes, for there are times when all pray for the safety of their loved ones, for the return of the breadwinner, of the champion, of their protectors.

“I see the 10,000 villages of Russia, where the means of existence was wrung so hardly from the soil, but where there are still primordial human joys, where maidens laugh and children play I see advancing upon all this, in hideous onslaught, the Nazi war machine, with its clanking, heel-clicking, dandified Prussian officers, its crafty expert agents, fresh from the cowing and tying down of a dozen countries..

Sadly, There are alot of gullible fools

Let this be for a lesson.

EVERYTHING that the world is making a big deal about is all to have that effect on masses(alot of you). It’s most or all of your MakeUp.

To the leaders sitting at the funeral, this is ‘poshut’ as day

All South Africans who regularly complain & whine about their crime rate and general downward spiral of their region, ought to give pause as to the catalyst.

That the USSR,The Big Capitalists, and local marxists (guess ,of course, which background),were his strongest support imply something positive about Apartheid

(Who made the myth that Capitalists and Communists are enemies?)

Up until he became president he was a communist supported terrorist committed to the one cause of breaking apartheid.

Without the bigger forces,he would have been worth Zero.

Maybe a footnote in some text.

After he became president his job was reconciliation and governing South Africa in order for it not to become the next failed african nation like Zimbabwe or Congo.

And he was mediocre at it.

imagine a man who took a country from food self sufficiency and brought starvation to the masses. imagine a man who took safe streets and turned them into crime ridden jungles. and you will have a portrait of mandela AFTER his big reformation .

“When I studied in the Mir (Poland) there were 400 Bochurim in the Yeshiva, 100 of them were on the level that they could be Roshei Yeshiva. The objective in Yeshiva was to (translated)CHANGE,” Rabbi Wolbe said in a Shmuess.

[Changing; the Mashgiach elaborated at many other opportunities, refers to one’s adapting to the climate of the Yeshiva.

“The Yeshiva doesn’t want you to be ‘Frummer’, the Yeshiva doesn’t want you to be ‘Better’, the Yeshiva wants you to Change”, he would frequently quote the Alter of Slabodka. Changing means that one’s value system is not the same as it was when he entered Yeshiva. One’s interests, topics of conversation, goals in life are all formed and adapted by the Torah and the Rebbeim, not the street.]

    Yussel:His whole methodology was questionable.

His Yir’a and lack of agendae allowed us to hold our peace.

Ask those who know a thing or two

(I refrained from saying at first ,but you forced my hand)

    Ferd

Yungerman from Lakewood hit the nail on it’s head

(hmm, did YU skip Divrei Hesped for R’ Elyashiv

    ..seems there’s an agenda)

R’ Ovadia zt”l if there’s a comparison to be made has been more publicized by far due to:

1.the media wants to imply Rabbi is must be someone only if useful for the benighted masses

2.the media(,internet included, who fought and hated him till this week)wish to turn him into something so big,

that now if anyone so chooses to challenge much of his manifold leniencies ,will be shouted down by

    those same masses

2.As a slight to others whose influence penetrated differently but heavier

From An Ashkenazi who tore his shirt on the news of the Petirah
