There is nothing that is “Non-Torahdig” that is mutar. If there is no issues Al Pi Torah and Hashkafa to do something and you need the break Kol Hakovod and do it in good health.

I beleive this is a Shaila for the Gedolim to Pasken and it seems to me that the Gedolim seem to endorse and encourage the current Kollel system. (The system was started by R’ Aharon Kotler who was certainly a Gadol big enough to Pasken such a Shaila).

I don’t understand, all of these bochurim go to Yeshivos where there are Roshei Yeshiva who are their Manhigim in all matters of Ruchniyus (or should be). So Al Pi Pashtus this is a Shaila for the Roshei Yeshiva to Pasken and they don’t seem to be telling the bochurim to be getting jobs. (But helping at home they certainly do tell them).

First of all a question for all those who think that for shidduchim mingling is fine (or even just to check each other out). What happened to the shidduch system where the couple gets redt to each other, like Klal Yisroel has been doing for years? Second of all yummy cupcake how do you know 98% of people handle it fine as you said it’s more of a guy thing?

If this Takanah is from the Rabbonim of the city who know the city why the skeptism. (And where do you come from with this claim that Gedorim for Aroyos cause people to be Over Arayos?)

Sam2: Even if it only leads to Hirhurei Aveira (which it does) it is problem enough. (And if you have a way for it not to lead to Hirhurei Aveira please feel free to share. And don’t just say to work on Yiras Shomayim.)

Also I think the Rabbonim of Gateshead are qualified to judge what holiness is and if you don’t agree with their definition you don’t have to live there but for their city they definitely are the Marah D’asra

How come there are people who don’t understand the problem of inter-gender mingling? Were they never Bochurim or do they just have to knock everything holy?
