You might try sending them a real nice Mishloach Manos this year with a letter. See if that helps.

Are you trying to give ideas to the teens out there?

I think that one reason that NASI did this was to get everyone’s attention as to the problems with older girls getting Shidduchim. Instead of everyone complaining, how about we brainstorm on how to solve the problem.

I’ll start. How about everyone taking 2 girls under their wings. Its sometimes easier to promote someone else than your own daughter. Whenever you shmooze with people, let them know about these two wonderful girls who need a shidduch. Do they perhaps know a boy who would be compatible?

    What do you think???

I’m afraid that this will have an opposite affect than what they want. Parents will be anxious to get their daughters married before they turn 22 and have to pay such a high Shadchan fee.

Here’s a possible solution to the problem. I’ve been told that the Chassidim have the opposite problem, more eligible boys than girls. If this is the case, maybe its time for Litvish girls to look into Chassidish boys.

My concern is that are other Shadchanim who don’t get the lists going to charge these prices? I wonder if the Shadchan will have to pay to get a list.

People should be considerate of others when wearing perfume in public. There are many people who are very sensitive (allergic) to perfume. I get headaches and dizzy when I am exposed to a strong scented perfume.

Until you graduate high school you know what your next step is. Each year you go up a grade. After seminary, you enter the real world. Should I work? Should I go to school? Will I finish before I get married? If you do everything with Simcha and have Bitachon and Emuna everything falls into place.

From reading your posts you seem pretty level headed. Its normal to worry, just don’t get stuck in it.

Chicago people are very warm and friendly and full of Chesed. Does that make them nerdy??
