What kind of person would need to undergo a “giyur lechumra”?

Reboniel, even parts of modern orthodoxy, such as the RCA, the flagship MO rabbinical organization, don’t recognize R. Angel’s conversions.

    Who needs a “Giyur Lechumra”?

And is such a person considered a born-Jew or a Ger where there is a difference in status in halacha?

I spoke to the Mashgiach. He holds the asifa was a tremendous and resounding success and a massive kiddush shem shamayim.

The Ari was himself an Ashkenazi (not Sephardic; though his mother was of Sephardic origin. His father was Ashkenazic.)

And my point was, exactly, that MH being LK is *not* a valid shitta. And for the reason I explained earlier, has no one to rely on.

To the Asifa 60,000 people plus tens of thousands more in other cities and women in NY via cctv feeds, came to hear mussar not entertainment

How often do people come to a 5 hour mussar shmooze by almost the 100,000’s?

Even according to the shitta that, theoretically, LH can add new words, I’m quite sure even that shitta would not allow that a heretic can be one that is qualified to add words to LH.

The idea that a home with a TV or unfiltered internet will always be strictly off-limits to the children (young adults or small children) is highly unlikely. A Yeshiva cannot risk an entire class of tinokos shel beis rabban being negatively influenced by one child in the class who lives in a home with TV or unfiltered internet. That child can literally bring multiple innocent children in his class off the derech with his negative influences from his contamination to television or unfiltered internet rachmana l’tzlon.

Why do the Yemenites wear peyos like the chasidim?

Murder is an extremely rare, almost unheard of, issue in the frum community.

    Compare that to society.

While the Arizal davened Nusach Sefard, he wasn’t the first to do so. There are many before the Arizal to rely upon. No nusach can be claimed to be more authentic than any other.
