well even if that is the case for some people, now it was noticed. so, now that attention was drawn to it, maybe people will pay more attention to it.
some people are truly bored….
Thank you I. M. Shluffin for changing the tone of the answers. These more recent answers a lot more acceptable.
I think that usually when someone is referred to as a learner/earner, it pretty much means, his focus is his working.
lets get the sticky back please
Afterall, many shidduchim happen through FAMOUS shadchanim, who often times met the girl and boy for 3 minutes each. – they definitely do not know anything about either side, other than the superficiality of each of them (if they even accomplished perceiving that….)It’s not like they KNOW either side. Everything is min Hashamayim. It can come from anywhere.
hodulashem – totally agree! you would think your close friends would have a little more courtesy, but they dont 🙁
popa_bar_abba – I agree with you as well, if a random person sets you up with someone, it may end up working out, but there has to be some shaychus between boy x and girl y. It can’t just be, oh you are a female, and you are a male, let’s put you together to waste time.
It obviously does work sometimes because there are people married out there who were just “set up with boy x” by someone who only saw them once.
Please put the stickys back up
On average, though, how often do you think?
how often is it appropriate to remind shadchanim your daughter?
