“What do you do when you discover that your shul uses Carlebach niggunim during Shabbos davening?”

I really don’t get how the mods let this stuff through…
Because it’s funny
Quite amazing how many times these Lubavitcher apologists include the phrase “I forget exactly where”
“Your are … being meracheik Yidden from Chassidus. ”
You say that like it’s a bad thing…
None. It’s a pretty low-level minhag.
There was mixed seating at the weddings of the children of R’ Moshe Feinstein. He was plenty frum.
@DY If there is a decent argument, feel free to make it.
@midwesterner “That does not apply to our level of tahara and to our mikvaos of today. Especially men’s obligation. ”
There is no obligation for a man to ever go to the mikva.
And what if “Torah authorities” disagree…?
Aside from the tiny number of men ascending Har Habayis, what does men going to mikva have anything to do with halacha?
1. There is no such thing as ‘netz’. In the term ‘honeitz hachama’, the first word is a verb.
2. Chatzos is when is at the highest point in the sky, which is exactly halfway between sunrise and sunset.
“Seforim bring down”
Well, that has convinced me.
The halocho is, join in where the kehillo is up to.
Another halocho that is ignored, when you come to shacharis late, you start davening from where the shul is up to, not from the beginning.February 5, 2014 11:14 pm at 11:14 pm in reply to: Continuation of Discussion on R' Slifkin and Weiss from Manchester Eiruv Thread #1002041
We have definitely changed psak on the basis of a greater understanding of science.
We are mechalel shabbos – every week, in hospitals all over the world – to save the lives of eight month babies, which chazal say are not viable. I dare say there are a number of “eight month” babies reading this thread today.
