as far as i know (chesedname) the difference is size keyboard if any for example the droid x does not have a key board its all touch. then you have different displays in each droid. I have the first droid by motorola through verizon, texting: if we are texting together the backround for me is white for you its grey, i know in the droid by motorola 2 its orange and green word bubbles. so other then different displays and size i dont belive there is much difference. They did come out with maybe 2 months ago with droid motorola pro which is a blackberry face with droid system/software
