RY23, race, religion and national origin are different things too. If you can’t discriminate based on race would you approve of the law allowing discrimination based on religion or national origin? If not, why would you oppose price discrimination based on race or religion but support it based on gender?

Again, I’m suggesting that the law be modified to either explicitly allow or disallow, consistently, both forms of premium discrimination: based on gender and based on race. There’s no good reason to allow one but not the other.

No, I’m proposing the law be consistent. Either allow insurance carriers to discriminate premiums based on gender and race or disallow either. (And I’m not specifying whether this should be a state or federal law issue. As it is auto insurance is a state law issue, so I’d expect my proposal to be a matter of state not federal law.) If it were to allow either, rather than disallow both, it would effectively be a deregulation.

CTL, your stats ignore or gloss over the fact that men have 50% more average annual miles driven on America’s road’s than women, with men representing about 60% of drivers on the road, according to data from the Federal Highway Administration. So obviously men are charged more for insurance since on average they drive so much more and are thus more likely to be involved in incidents.
The global warming so-called scientists were in a huge scandal about 10 years ago when someone stole a trove of emails from them that showed they covered up a ton of data that demonstrated they were lying about global warming and making severe predictions that their own data didn’t support.
