Are you using two at once in some sort of virtual-reality-3D type of process
Well thank you for including us.
I happen to be losing my mac after 8 years and am looking to buy a new laptop but can’t decide if I want another mac. Now I’m concerned about buying a computer with the wrong colors. Do you think it has an adverse effect on other aspects of your life? Perhaps the programmer on one was color blind?Is there a question involved here or are you just sharing some quality time with us?

yekke, knowing the whole picture, I don’t see those errors in your original post. I think it is important to remember that in addition to knowing the back story to the posts and posters is the simple fact that something going unnoticed is not equal to something not being said.

Hard not to be curious how what criteria you use to deem others lesser than you.
I don’t know….I think that by throwing the word into your response you were detracting from the real display of growth and maturity which is to not be bothered by insults without having to put them down in order to do it.
Additionally, considering how many insults are only dubbed so by the receiver and not the speaker it would behoove you to not let it bother you simply because your sense of self is not contingent upon it, not because you have ‘butled’ them and their opinion.

If you have to call them lesser in order for it not to bother you than you may not be developing the midda appropriately.
By considering them ‘lesser’ you may be meeting them half way instead of learning to handle criticism.In a moment of clarity uninstall the app and beg Hashem to reward that step with success.
I am vehemently opposed to the pesach hotel situation as a very general rule, but this thread isn’t working for me either….

mw, I have to agree with ubiq that you are calling it quits for the direction of ad hominem and hatred but it sounds like you are the one who is angriest and attacking personally. On the other hand I agree wholeheartedly with you that this thread needs to close. As a matter of fact I think I have actually done it already once.
I would think it would benefit everyone who posted here to reread some of the posts that angered you so much and see, when removed, if it really said what you thought/accused it of saying. I believe there were more foaming mouths responding to things they assumed they read then what they actually read. And that prejudice we carry, I believe, is even sadder that the subject at hand.

Shopping, I cannot tell you how many times I have had to edit your opinions on frum music, books etc. I think you need to understand that your limited exposure to what is available cannot be transformed into potential l”h about what is actually out there. My son has about 50G of kosher music and is constantly downloading more. I wouldn’t want to say Joseph is right but your perception is indeed incorrect. If they have smartphones, which I think they are not supposed to, they would need to be ‘tagged’. Maybe you confused “…that filtering wouldn’t be expected of them” with “…that filtering wouldn’t be requested of them…because they wouldn’t think to do otherwise”
I do know my son’s friend who is there was not allowed a smart phone and only this year was allowed a kosher phone.I am mildly uncomfortable with your willingness to speak this way about any group that you know you may be wrong about. Not quite like you…..

That really wasn’t the concern at all. It was a message to the poster who understood it. If you are trying to understand something, a good rule of thumb – asking is preferable to drawing your own conclusions.

I responded to your claim that it is not a mitzvah if there is emotional or physical safety involved, not if it needs to be done. The claim has been said to be incorrect and that was what I was concerned about. This last post is discussing what should or shouldn’t be done, that was not the subject of the question, it was the statement that it is not a mitzvah.

We have deleted posts were someone wrote some very harsh words of retribution to a poster who may have said something disrespectful to Torah. This guy sent such a hateful scathing post to the mods about our disgusting moderating using personal viewpoints and not supporting Torah or yeshivish views at all etc etc. What he missed was that he had two lines of nivel peh in his original post that couldn’t be put through.
Try assuming you are missing lots of pieces to the story.I am very, very concerned. Bein Hazmanim is just around the corner and NeutiquamErro and Yekke2 may not know about the CR’s move. What if they go to the old CR and find all the lights off and doors locked. Will they feel abandoned? Will they take their luggage and return to the dorm? Will they think a whole community turned their backs on them?
I am concerned for their emotional safety and well being.
