You may want to re read the article. This is about a plane going down over the Ukraine. The question was whether it was terrorism, or a terrible tragedy (as in malfunction or something).
A Baal Koreh who is only out during leaning? How do you do that?
Unfortunately, in my shul the kiddush club is headed up by a man who also happens to be my children’s pediatrician. Talk about making someone sick . . .
It was a mod requirement
I defer to Dash
I hear that the shul in Boston sometimes gets a minyan and you can go there to see the china used for the Boston Tea Party.
Maybe he’s the girl that dumped the OP.
Maybe not a hechsher, but discretion.
Hi Haifagirl! Nice to see you?
You’re just saying that because I had to delete a bunch of your troll posts. Nobody hates you. If we hated you we would just obliterate you.May 15, 2014 8:06 pm at 8:06 pm in reply to: Threads that are just the mod saying why they're closed #1015364
Haven’t you learned to expect the unexpected around here?
I just wanted to say that rebyidd has honed his talents for starting silly threads. They have become less annoying and more entertaining. I think this was a good one.
No, I cannot (or at least choose not to) clarify.
If only the deleted posts were only “slightly controversial”.
Read secular books and watch movies!
It’s pretty clear to anyone who knows the movie that this particular thread was started with that intention, . . . So why allow such a thread in the first place?
My answer to “why allow such a thread in the first place” was that I did NOT know the movie so it was NOT pretty clear. That’s why it was approved. When fourteen people all submitted the same exact line, word for word, in response to the thread, it became obvious.
I’m having trouble with the format. Is each keystroke a different letter? What about spacing? Did a monkey really type this?
I’m on it . . .
Yup, pixelate. I couldn’t have said it better.
And you still wonder what the problem is . . .
Absolutely! Anyone who is a rodef shalom as you are is someone I try to stay in good with!
Your answer is in your question. I obviously don’t know the movie. And I had been happy to keep it that way.
Sometimes when posts with questions for the mods are deleted, it is not because they are being blocked, it is simply because they are assumed to be for the mods alone to read.
Seriously though, it depends who is on at the time. See, I mod on all even days divisible by 3 with barometric pressures higher than the previous day but only during the daylight hours over the green line. 100 takes rainy days ending in y but only when the locusts are out. 127 posts while oranges are in season but only during mealtimes. I’ll try to put it on a spread sheet so you will know who to forward complaints to.
There are too many complicated algorithms involved to clearly explain it all in such a small reply box.
I’ll assume that was a compliment. Thank you .
My name is 29 and I am a mod.
Were they discussing tax loopholes?
True, but then my wife will make me clean it.
Does anyone in Passaic or Clifton know of a house or apartment available for first days (even without the kitchen)? I’m thinking of running away from home.
In the grey bar above the sticky threads there are the words “topic – add new”. Press the “add new” and you can start a new thread. Looking forward!
We clean everything we can, and cover everything we can’t. On some really difficult years (baby born after Purim) we just closed every cabinet and lived out of boxes. We sold all our furniture to pay for the hand matzos and sold the car to pay for the pesachdik food so our cleaning was really minimized.
Like twisted said, there is a difference between having a new and having multiple screen names.
hey, mod 100, you forgot to tell her about the processing fee!
or is this better?
nsh – The difference is that there will be many, many posts up and back on just a few threads which will keep those threads alive and kicking at the top, but not replace those at the bottom.
Any posts recommending books with explicitly inappropriate language or content will not end up approved. If the book is unknown, I need to look it up. I cannot approve book recommendations on this site that contain material that might be offensive. (And I have been very surprised by some of the suggestions)
I bought out all the valentine left overs and had a v’ahavta l’rei-echa kamocha theme.
Often it’s more about what hasn’t been posted than what has. Any ideas for a new one?
why, notasheep? Did it make you laugh?February 4, 2014 3:23 am at 3:23 am in reply to: Continuation of Discussion on R' Slifkin and Weiss from Manchester Eiruv Thread #1002013
Just a tip – if you want the posts to go thru faster, it would help if they were shorter. Even several shorter posts.
I call Frimet being pba and his wife.
I have heard of cases such as this where thing are removed with wire cutters or the like and returned to family.
42 – you already voting twice?
Mitzvahgirl- I don’t think anything you said was a problem but when someone asks the public for their opinion about a camp, store, restaurant etc there is always a chance that it can be bad mouthed and that would bring a monetary loss to the owner, and is L”H. I had that in mind when I approved the thread and intended to delete any posts that would have been halachically problematic. Key was pointing out that if we are not always successful, better it should not be posted in the first place. Please don’t worry that you did something wrong.
Hail to thee fat person!
