A father-of-four was R”L killed while cycling in Sydney’s eastern suburbs early Thursday morning, AJN reports.
Henri Sueke Z”L, a doctor who had recently arrived to Australia from the UK with his young family, died after a collision involving a truck at Rose Bay. He was 36.
AJN reports that at around 7:45AM local time, emergency services were called to New South Head Road where Dr Sueke was trapped under the vehicle’s trailer near the intersection of Kent Road.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics rendered assistance; however, he R”L died at the scene.
Jewish NSW Ambulance chaplain Rabbi Dr Dovid Slavin responded to the scene.
His wife Danni and four children are now on their way to Israel where the Levaya will take place.
The family were formerly members of Manchester Sephardi synagogue Shaare Hayim. The shul’s rabbi Rabbi Amir Ellituv told the JC News: “He was very loved by everyone. He was full of life.
“We grew up together. We lived our lives together. We are all shocked beyond words.”
Dr Sueke’s wife is from Australia and the family moved there just before Pesach this year.
