VIDEOS/PHOTOS: MK Eichler Getting Vocal In Response To Police Brutality In Meah Shearim

(VIDEOS AND PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Yisrael Eichler refers to the police action in Meah Shearim late Friday afternoon as a ‘provocation’ that must be addressed. Eichler was quite vocal in his accusations against police, accusing them of striking unarmed non-violent persons without any cause or justification. In his own words, he calls to “Stop the provocations of secret agents beating children as is done in dark countries”.

Eicher has turned to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in light of what he reports to be police brutality and unjustified arrests. “The violence and provocations that took place on erev Shabbos would never be done against Arabs on Har Habayis during Ramadan but it is okay in Meah Shearim” he added.

Eichler concludes “Government violence is more severe that civilian violence. These violent actions will not calm the situation. Those who are responsible for false arrests and harming children should be prosecuted”.

  1. These videos are extremely troubling. The brutality shown by these yassam dogs against defenseless children are outrageous. If this happened in any other country to any other race, the UN would condemn it in the strongest terms. Putting women dressed very pritzusdik (as you see in the picture posted), to go after chareidem, is a purposeful provocation to really escalate the tensions. This definitely comes from the top, Netanyahu and the RASHA Lieberman. I hate to say it, but we have seen in the past, whenever the Torah hating Government has nothing better to do than to incite the Chareidim and then brutally beat & arrest them, it was always followed by terrorist infiltration from the Palestinians! I’m not wishing it, I’m telling you a mitzius!
The problem in Israel is that there is no term limits. You have the same elitists running the secular government since it’s founding. You have the same 5 or 10 families in power and they stay until their dying day. And the same applies to the Charedie parties. They just never leave or retire. Same people, same faces, same failed policies. No new ideas allowed. No adapting to the changing landscape allowed. Same old same old.
The medina must fall and only Moshiach can and will save us.

  2. Stop defending those kids. They are not better than arab kids. They also are taught from the day they are born to hate fellow Jews. Maybe next time they think twice attacking people with stones and verbal curses. Good job police, as this type of behavior could not go on for any longer. Where was Eichler before?

  3. I have been there, and I have seen the out of control behavior of young boys & men against soldiers & police. Come on, their behavior is outragous. Not one voice in their community has spoken out against this reprehensible behavior. It is about time the police make the streets safe for EVERYONE, since the Rabeim are silent.

  4. Not getting – you might have made some valid points until your last sentence about the ‘Medinah’… we know exactly where you are coming from.
Also, about women “very peritzos” perhaps I’m wrong or naive, by Secular standards, it’s considered pretty modest, so I’m not sure about the motive…

  5. This is disgusting and unacceptable, bloodied defenseless kids beaten like that? These people are animals, yes animals!!! I don’t know how anyone can possibly defend them. Eichler is 100% right and has nothing in this for himself. He is not from that community, they protest against him also for being in the kneset.

  6. Here’s how it works. A policeman dressed as a soldier walks around Meah She’arim for 4 hours without anybody bothering him. Then some unstable person knowing it’s a policeman shouts at him. The policeman, being a thug at heart, shoves the person who shouts at him. All his thug policeman partners come racing out of cars to arrest the person. Charedim try to rescue their brother. The Israeli press – may it blotted from the earth – reports that Charedim attacked a soldier and police made arrests. Then all the Zionist fools who read YWN and identify with a secular state and with apikorsim and despise religious people start chiming in about the police doing a good job beating up a little boy.

  7. from Long Island, don’t tell me you have been there. You stopped by once on a trip from the Five Towns? You are just pretending to have some insider information when you have nothing but prejudice. I have been to Meah Shaarim about 500 times and have never seen any of the locals bothering or hurting anybody. Nearly all of these police incidents occur because the police come in and provoke.
