UPDATE On Condition of Ruchama Aliza Schwab

ruchama1.jpgThe following is the update that Yeshivaworld has received regarding Ruchama Aliza Sarah Chana bas Esther Leiba. (She is the little girl in NMB Florida, who R”L drowned in a swimming pool this past summer – reported HERE on YW):

Ruchama Aliza has stabilized to the point where she is able to have surgery that is needed for her long term care. The surgery will be tomorrow, September 18, 2007. Please say extra tehillim between 7:30AM and 11:30AM.

The family writes: Baruch Hashem! We had a major breakthrough over Rosh Hashanah, when RUCHAMAH ALIZAH SARAH CHANA began to very slightly move her toes, fingers and head! The Doctors have minimized this, but, they have been wrong every step of the way for the past 3 weeks! There is one Aibishter and through all the teflios, cheseds and hachlotas tovahs that klal Yisroel is doing, DIDAH NATZACH is in clear view!!! Although Alizah still remains in critical but stable condition, she is still on a respirator and continues to be off all medication to regulate her bodily functions i.e. temperature, blood pressure, heart rate etc.

Please continue the Tefillos!

  1. Wow that’s great news B”H, and again clearly HASHEM is the solely one in charge
May all yiden who needs REFUAS get healty very soon, and the whole klal yisroel have a GEMAR CHASUMA TOVA

  2. I can only imagine the family’s simchah as I’m sitting here totally elated by this ‘updated news’! I’ve seen the ‘Yad Ha’Shem’ in my own life and am sure that you are having the z’chus to see it as well! We should all be zoche to see the full recovery of Aliza Sarah Chana bas Esther Leiba as well as all of the cholim in K’lal Yisroel and be able to appreciate the constant involvement of Hakadosh Boruch Hu even in the mundane aspects of our lives! Keep the good news coming!!! G’mar Chasimah Tovah!!!!

  3. May Ruchama Aliza Sara Chana have a complete refuah and may this coming year bring lots of simchos, teshuos, refuos and nechamos for her family and all of Klal Yisroel!
    Shana Tova U’Metuka!
We’re davening for her in Yerushalayim Ir Hakodesh.

  4. May i suggest that everyone donate something to Tzedakas Rabbi Meir Baal Hanes and when donating the money please say Eloku Dmeir Anneinu and it should be lrefuas Ruchama Aliza Sara Chana bas Esther Leiba

  5. Just said tehillim. Please keep us posted. May we hear only good news and may her parents be zoche to take home a HEALTHY child very soon and iyh walk her to her chuppa bisha tova!!

  6. To Aliza’s family:
    Your emunoh is inspirational.
May Hashem fulfill all our prayers for Aliza and for all of Klal Yisroel who need them.
Zeman Simchoseinu is quickly approaching and I’m confident that IY”H Aliza will give us much reason to rejoice!

  7. Burich Hashem for the recovery, slow as it may be. I’ll continue to be mispalel b”n.

I would like to add a thought to this story. I heard from a reliable source that while young Ruchama Aliza Sarah Chana was on life support after the accident with no brain waives showing on the monitors, the hospital actually insisted that r”l the “plug be pulled” and that she should chulila die! It was only thanks to the father’s alerting the media of the rotzchim’s plans that allowed for the glimmer of hope we see today b”h halevay vaater.

I would like to remind you of a case from not that long ago in which Terri Schiavo (lb”cl) was put to death by her husband after having found favor in the eyes of the barbarians of the liberal left in which they took up her husband’s cause as a cause célèbre.

At the time there was a valiant move by some members in congress to try and save Terri’s life. The effort ultimately came up short and Terri was killed by starvation. I remember this liberal woman (a conservative Jew) who sat near my office actually cheering the news of the death.

You can google the exact quotes, but for the most part, the liberal left from Pelosi to Levin on down were opposed to congress’s involvement in the case and the support for the Schindler’s (Terri’s family) came from the political right, which has a long history of defending life.

We must remember who our friends are and while always knowing it is ultimately ONLY hk”bh who brachamuv i’broiv chasuduv that gives life, still we must not forget to elect only those who will stand with the values of life we hold so dear.

    B’birchas g’mar chasime toive, and refi’es v’yishi’es.

  8. There is a group of women baking challah on Erev Yom Kippur for a zchus for a refuah shelaima for Ruchama Aliza Sarah Chana bas Esther Liba. If you are baking challah on Thursday night or Friday, and would like to join, please contact [email protected].
