WATCH: Donald Trump Jr. Tells Hannity: ‘In Retrospect I Probably Would Have Done Things A Little Differently’

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

In retrospect, maybe he would have done things differently.

That’s the message from Donald Trump Jr. following revelations that he met with a Russian lawyer with hopes of obtaining compromising information on his Hillary Clinton.

The president’s oldest son is responding to the news in an interview with Fox News Channel personality Sean Hannity.

Emails show that Trump Jr. had been told that by music promoter Rob Goldstone that a Russian government attorney wanted to share information on Clinton as “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”

Trump Jr. says the meeting “went nowhere,” but says: “In retrospect I probably would have done things a little differently.”

The channel released excerpts from the interview before its 10 p.m. air time.

  1. Is this some new idea of a joke from the Trumpkopfs. If someone emails you that a foreign power wants to influence the outcome of a U.S. election and your candidate has spent the last year beating up on the Clintons for their foundation and deals with foreign governments, the first thing you do is call the FBI, not schedule a meeting. At first I thought the Trumpkopf-in-Chief may be suffering from some serious illness affecting his judgement but appears that whatever the affliction, it is hereditary .

  2. Why did he have “hopes of obtaining compromising information on his Hillary Clinton”? He has his own Hillary Clinton?

  3. What would he have done differently? Not lied? not covered up? Not have the arrogant chutzpah to think you and your family are above the law and ethical conduct expected by the public at large?

  4. What strange comments. A Russian lawyer sets up a meeting with Trump’s son on the pretext that (so she claims) she has information linking the Clinton campaign to Russian funding. So these posters here condemn Trump’s son as a traitor for exactly what – trying to uncover Russian funding of the Clinton campaign?

  5. Hey George….its a federal crime for someone to attempt to interfere with a U.S. election, however noble their intent….its not rocket science. Any normal political campaign would have called the FBI and let them follow up on the matter but not the Trumpkopfs…”I love it ” says Trumpkopf Jr…..come up to the Tower for some borscht and lets talk about it….
