Working Smoke Detector Saves Live In Williamsburg Fire

180.jpg(Click HERE for photos) Early Sunday morning, a fire broke out at 346 Marcy Avenue near Heyward Street in the basement of a 3 story private residence. Although Hatzolah and FDNY received reports of people possibly trapped inside, Boruch Hashem there was no one injured.

Apparently, a SMOKE DETECTOR had saved their lives.

As YWN had mentioned the FDNY annual campaign: “Change your clocks, change your battery”. Statistics show, that a working smoke alarm will increase your chances of surviving a fire by fifty percent!

  1. IF YOU DON’T HAVE A SMOKE DETECTOR PLEASE GET ONE!

I finally got mine up the other day after putting it off for way too long.
