Who is to say that the bus was picking up students???????????the bus is sitting at the curb!!!!!!!
This happens much too often. I just had the same thing last week with my child… close call!
We have to do something about it…
The bus was up at the sidewalk. His lights should not have been engaged! He had a sidewalk pickup! The driver was just for pulling over to let cars pass! Good for him! He realizes that there are other people in town who have to get to work or wherever and so, he pulled over to the sidewalk. Why his lights were flashing…. um, it was a mistake.
However, I do concede what the car driver did wasn’t legal – it was not dangerous!

my friend got a ticket last week on 53rd and 18th…the lights was flashing while the bus was in a parked position and he waitd over 2 minutes,after he realized the driver ins not on the bus he passed it. Officer from 66 pulled him over and he explained the driver is not even there he proceeded and wrote him a ticket. The driver even came out and told the office he forgot to close his light but his pleas fell on deaf ears.
You can see from this video that the driver did not stop in middle of the road, so lets not blame anyone here
